  This is our church, my husband and mine. After leaving a denomination after 37 years where we served in leadership positions we had to accept we had to leave because The Word of God was no longer the final authority in that denomination. We went searching for twenty-six years. My husband served 43 years of active duty in the USN and we retired in 2001. We spent the ensuing years going back and forth from El Cajon, CA and Florida to our summer home on Peacham Pond. Over one year ago, we decided it was time to settle in beautiful Vermont for the remainder of our lives. Now the question was where were we going to find a church that is scripturally correct, great teachings, a pastor who preaches a sermon that we could remember weeks later, and also one who really loved his flock. We tried four churches, and still there was something missing. One day God led us to the First Congregational Church in St. Johnsbury Center, VT. We immediately fell in love with Pastor Jeffrey Pastor and the church family. Please go onto www.StJohnsburyChurch.org and read everything posted, but more important go into the videos to hear the preaching. I can't wait until Sundays or any event being held at the church to join my church family. I promise you that you will be welcomed, loved, and prayed for by all. As they say "It just doesn't get any better." Thank you Jesus for directing us to this church. we truly have been blessed.
